Animalien is an infinite 2D randomly generated simulation game, with moddability in mind in it's design from the start! Build a fort to protect yourself from the wildlife, gather resources, and craft a way to stay alive!

CUSTOM BIOME UPDATE!

In this update, some things have been cleaned up, and a custom Biome loading system has been implemented and worked into the decoration system!
This makes a total of [3] biomes,
Desert, Snowy, and Grassy

With the addition of different biomes, different flavors of some current decorations were added as well as  many items/recipes to gear up for the next intended update!

this leaves us with a grand total of:





_What an update!_
We have:
- Fixed a bug where the shop would open during a conversation with another NPC
- Reworked health/added stamina and running
- Added potions and their resulting recipes
- Fixed a scripting error in the Bee NPC script
- Corrected some minor errors in the log output for engine initialisation
-Added more than 500 tiles to worldgen!
- Added around a dozen new decorations
- Added the final tiers of Walls (finally! oops)
- Updated the map to include our new pretty biome colours

NPC UPDATE TIME WOOHOO! I've been hard at work to create a whole Python API for NPC scripting. This does a couple things:

1) allows players to create custom NPCs and behaviors, or even cutscenes!
2) allows for rapid prototyping of NPCs to start growing the game on my end!

In order to facilitate easily making them, I have added a template for them to the optional files list! I hope you all enjoy it, and note that the API is still very new and is open to feedback! Missing a feature or method you would think is useful? Send a message in the Discord!

This is an Alpha build, but should be 100% playable on Linux and Windows! I would love to hear your feedback on things to add, quality of life changes, whatever it could be!
